The Yandex Wordstat service can and should be used for selecting keywords when setting up contextual advertising, analyzing the popularity of search queries, and collecting the semantic core for site SEO promotion.
Яндекс Wordstat как пользоваться?
To get started with the service, go to the Yandex Wordstat page where you need to log in (if you don't have a Yandex account, then you need to create one).
In the search box, enter the keywords you are interested in and click "Pick up". All keywords can be entered in any case, and prepositions can be omitted – The service automatically counts query results in different cases and numbers.
After entering the keyword, you will see statistics on the predicted number of impressions for the selected query. The forecast is based on data for the last 30 days and takes into account only Yandex search results.
The left column of the interface shows the total frequency of queries that include the specified keyword and its word forms, as well as phrases that include the original keyword.
The right column shows similar queries that users entered in Yandex search. The numbers next to each query indicate the projected number of impressions per month for this keyword.
The "By region" tab allows you to understand, and the "By region" tab allows you to determine the popularity of a query in a particular region or city.
The "Regional popularity" parameter, if set to more than 100%, indicates increased interest in this query, while less than 100% indicates reduced interest.
Please note that by default, statistics are displayed for all regions where Yandex search is used. You can select a specific ad serving region in the "All Regions" tab.
You can also choose the user's device type. The "Desktops" filter takes into account requests from computers and laptops, while the "Mobile" filter takes into account requests from phones and tablets.
Yandex Wordstat allows you to evaluate the dynamics of user queries based on the selected keyword. Data is analyzed for the last two years, which helps determine the seasonality of user interest. This information is available in the "Request History" tab.
Working with keywords
Please note that Yandex Wordstat does not display the exact number of impressions for the entered keyword. The value "What was searched for with the word..." displays the total number of queries that include the specified keywords.
So, for the query "interior doors", we see impressions, but this number includes impressions not only for the specified keyword, but also all impressions for queries that include this phrase, for example, "interior door repair".
Use special characters and Yandex search operators to formulate your keywords more accurately. For example, if you want to find out the exact number of requests for a given keyword, use the operators ! and “”. The“! " operator will allow you to fix the exact word form of the word, number, and case time. The "" operator helps you fix the phrase. Impressions will be served only for the specified word or phrase and all word forms.
Using search operators, you can get more accurate data on the usage statistics of interesting queries by cutting off non-targeted queries. In addition, operators allow you to get more relevant keywords.
